Ballet!

L started baby ballet today. I told her at bedtime last night that she was going to dance this morning and the first thing she said when I came into her room this morning was "ballet shoes?".  She was VERY excited to get all dressed up.  The boys were less than amused, claiming that she is going to be a softball player. They have been working hard teaching her proper throwing and batting technique (no joke!).

The class is for 2-3 year olds, and she is one of the youngest, but she did great!  She listened to the teacher, did all of the stretches, and even did all of the moves across the floor all by herself!   And, most important, she looked adorable.  Don't you agree?

She wasn't into mommy taking pictures this morning, and kept giving me her fake,cheesy will-you-just-take-the-picture-already smile - -

And then she had just had enough, and headed off with her "bags" --

 

 

"Seriously mom, will you please stop following me with that camera?"

First Day of MDO

 A lot of "firsts" around here lately. ;-)

L started at a Mother's Day Out (MDO) program at a local church today.  She goes two days/week for 3 1/2 hours, and mom is hoping to start doing a little p/t work from home again.  She had a great first day - no tears!  Her teacher said she did well overall, but was a bit of a trouble maker at lunch.  Apparently she kept getting out of her seat and was very curious what the other kiddos were eating.  Oh well!  So far, her favorite thing about school is getting to wear a backpack, just like her brothers.

First Haircut!

She did a great job following directions and sitting still.
